The Maker’s Story: About the Artist
Where Memory Meets the Needle
Based in the heart of Florida, I have always found magic in the "whimsical and weathered."
What began as a lifelong fascination with tiny treasures and vintage curiosities has evolved into Neue Heirloom Studio—a space where history is preserved through fine fiber art.
As a self-taught sculptor and textile artist, my work is driven by the belief that objects should carry a soul. I don’t just sew; I sculpt. Each Porcelain Threadlings and Victorian Stitchling begins as a blank canvas of fiber before being meticulously shaped by hand and adorned with the textures of the past.
My process is a slow dance with materials. I hunt for premium artificial silks, rescue century-old porcelain tea sets, and source antique laces that have their own stories to tell. By blending these "rescued" elements with modern sculpting techniques, I create tangible archives—companions designed to be cherished today and passed down as heirlooms tomorrow.
When I’m not in the studio with a needle in hand, you can find me exploring the quiet corners of Florida’s natural beauty, which serves as the constant inspiration for my flower fairies and forest spirits.
Thank you for supporting independent art and for allowing my creations to become a part of your family’s story.
